Google announced it is permanently killing Google+ effective in August. I know a few here use it (like a regular poster on the HICV page) so it is time to move your stuff to "the cloud" or Facebook.

It doesn't look like it. Google Drive/Docs seems to be safe.

I think google+ is separate, it was their attempt to copy facebook/linkedin/etc and it simply isnt very popular IMO.

Google confuses me. Too many products. I have multiple chrome accounts and gmails. My chrome keeps saying it is synching but I have no idea what it is synching to.

I am not even sure I know what google+ is? Is that hangouts?

Google+ is just Google’s failed attempt at a social media platform. Now it’s gone the way of Google Wave. It’s not hangouts, it’s its own thing. Or was.

It helps to sync up your favorites across multiple devices. Among many other things.

Any google account will do that for your Chrome browser.

I think if you own a Chromebook running the google ChromeOS then you have a Chrome account to access the App store, very similar to Apple and Android Store accounts.
