Each year, I try so hard to use my points so efficiently, but then I still have 200 pts or so left over. Any suggestions on what I can do so I don't lose them? Or is it just "good planning" so you deposit pts with Interval if you PREDICT you can't use them?

Check out different options using the points calculator tab on hyatt vacation site. If you go off season and do a 4 day midweek stay, there are still many good options for 200 points.
If you don't see anything you love then just put them into interval.

To follow up, different options could include 4 nights midweek studio at San Antonio in the winder 140 pts, early May Coconut Plantation studio 180 pts, Sedona 4 nights in Oct studio 180 ( great time to be in Sedona
by the way). Sometimes we add on 2 nights to an existing stray in a larger unit 1 bedroom for small pts. You can also do Aspen off season for some good deals.

We have never put our points into Interval from Hyatt....is there much to pick from? Easy to use? I am thinking of doing that next year once I figure out what to do for the year. :)

We have gotten some excellent resorts in II using our Hyatt points, such as Marriotts on Singer Island, FL and Palm
Desert.

i guess I need to learn how to do that. Thank you. I am planning how to use my pts for 2017....and those that I cannot use I will for once deposit into II BEFORE I can't do that. LOL Planning...always the key.

We deposited 1400 points from Hyatt to II, and did 2wks. back to back in St. Thomas with points left over to go to the Hyatt Carmel property.
