Hello Tuggers,

I need a little help for a friend.

She has a nice 2 bedroom beach week expiring in a few weeks, March 30, 2016.
I think ideally she would like to use the week Summer 2017.

Here is what I have gathered from reading the threads as to her options, am I right or wrong?

1) Extend 6 months - 12 months but the week will only see 59 days out? Can you add a request on an extended week? Still only 59 days out?

2) Extend 12 months then add an Eplus. Still only 59 days out with the Eplus?

Thank you for any suggestions or options.

Unfortunately she missed the window for the best options. That would have been to book something for March 30 add eplus and do a retrade by January 29 to something out as far as March 30, 2017. For the eplus fee she would have had a booking window of one year and 2 more retrades.

Now if she takes the 6 month extension she would have to book something 59 days or less from the current date. No ongoing searches allowed.

With eplus she would still book something for March 30 or as close as possible, and then she would have 3 retrades that could go as far as 59 from each current check in date. So she could book March 30, May 29, July 28, and then up to September 27 but she would have to do it in steps (which could all be done on the same day) but each step no more than 59 from the last.

I see she is thinking extend plus eplus. That might work but no ongoing searches and it starts to get quite pricey and if she couldn't make it work with a non restricted deposit in the 1-3 years she had, she may not be able to make it work with a restricted one. If she wants Orlando or Williamsburg or such in the summer and isn't picky about the resort she should be fine otherwise she probably will still have difficulties.

Thank you for any suggestions or options.

1) Can only see 59 days out and cannot place a request because any request must include at least one selection more than 60 days out.

2) Still only 59 days out. Unfortunately once a deposit or non E-plus exchange gets less than 60 days out it stays permanent flex restricted.

It could be possible to get out as far as Summer 2017, but she would have to pay the fee to extend. The extended deposit is only good for trades inside of 59 days, but if you can add EPlus to the first exchange, you could eek out a trade in summer 2017.
