I am looking for a nice timeshare resort near Rome. From what I can see online is that II has some in Rome while RCI is outside. I am leaning towards II because of that but would like more information. Please help.

Thanks

II and RCI are exchange companies. They're not in the business of selling timeshares. If you're looking to rent one from the exchange company, then you have to be a member of the exchange company.

Are you looking to buy or to rent?

I think the OP is trying to decide which exchange company to join.

Be advised, even though the timeshares are listed in the directory, there is very little (read: practically none) available during summer months, and not much any other time of the year. The vast majority of the properties in Italy are "Getaways only", meaning inventory given to the Exchange Company for the purpose of being rented out - not for exchange.

I am actually thinking of what timeshare to purchase. I currently have Wyndham and DVC. My wife is from outside Rome so I would like to buy one in or near Rome. I just need help in fining out one that is nice and not too expensive. I know I can trade using my Wyndham points into RCI or I could just rent a timeshare from another company but am thinking if we go back every other year buying may be better.
