I just got off the phone with Marriott about the new deeds that I just acquired and I wanted to add them to my II account - she said they are adding it on their end and I didn't need to do anything or pay anything to add them.

I told her, in the past, I always had to pay $59 per or add a year to my membership. Has this changed ???

Were you talking with Marriott or II? Sure there would be no fee to Marriott to add the weeks to II, but if you call II they may still have a fee. It is possible that the Marriott rep didn't know IIs fees and rules. If you were talking to II, then I don't know.

Wait a week or two and if they don't magically appear in your ii account, you'll know that Marriott doesn't know the ii system. Then contact ii and enroll them.

If they do show up all on their own, please repost so others may learn.

I paid to add a new Marriott last October.

I was speaking with Marriott owner services. I called II after to confirm and they were confused as well about what I was told. II said to wait and see if actually happens as Marriott said.

I got a call late this evening from the Marriott rep that she was mistaken and I do need to pay for II to add my weeks. I think she thought I had a DC account.

At least she called to correct her misinformation. I don't think most reps would do that.
