Got room # 2LO-SA at the HGVC at the Flamingo. What floor would that be on?

That is not a room number, it is just a unit type. Flamingo (and almost all other HGVC properties) do not generally pre-assign rooms. You can request a room location, but they are assigned when you check in.

Thank you, that is what I thought, RCI told me it was a room number. Before your comments I thought it may have meant 2 bedroom lockoff of floor S unit number A.
Thank you again!

I haven't been to Flamingo in a couple years, but I always liked the south tower when I used to stay there because it was close to parking and the shortest way to walk to the strip through the Flamingo hotel casino. Now that the Ling Shopping area has been built close to the North Tower, it might be better to stay on the north side. What is the best tower to stay in. Is there any parking on the north side?

I usually call the front desk a couple weeks prior to arriving and make a request. They have been really good about meeting it.

We just stayed there for the first time, and I can't say that one location would be better than another as it is a very small property. We didn't have a car (free Lyft promotion with the race we were running, and no need for a car), so parking was not a issue.

We were in the south tower and it was near a side entrance to the Monorail, so that was nice. But it's all very much the same given the size.

Cheers.

I don't think you can get to the Linq promenade without walking all the way around through the Flamingo. I there's a way to do it, I haven't found it in two trips, but I haven't really looked either!

To get to the linq go out the front entrance, go left down the driveway and follow the path to the front of the Linq near the wheel. It is a quick way to get to the end of the linq area.

I haven't been to Flamingo since Linq was built, but there used to be a door that exited on the north side of the north tower. Where does that door lead to now? I thought that would exit directly into the Linq area. Just curious...

Good question. There used to be a parking garage on the north side. Is that still there?

Sounds like the fastest way to Ling is out the front door and walk down the street, but I don't know if I would take that route at night. The other way is through the casino past the buffet and out the door. So the south tower still seems to be the best, unless there is parking on the north side. If so, the north tower is a close second choice to the south tower. But, if you want to walk to the Flamingo Casino or pool, it seems that walking through or around the south tower is the only way to go. Is that right?

We've done that at all hours, including into the wee hours of the morning. Head north along the little parking lot toward the big wall. There is a cut-through walkway that goes right under the High Roller and into the Linq. It's maybe a 3 minute walk.

Cheers.

The side exit door is gone, the linq area extends the entire distance from the wheel to Las Vegas Blvd. It really is a nice area with good food and bars.

Back to your original questions, just make a request once you book your room. We've always get what we asked for. (so far)

We now prefer the South Tower. Used to stay in the North Tower but there is no parking there anymore so South works for us as parking is just out the door. Plus you are just steps from the Flamingo (we used their valet quite a bit). Last time we commented that we only went to the lobby once the entire week as we had our own door in the South Tower.

Not sure how the noise would be next to the Linq but from the posts above it doesn't seem like it is an issue.

enjoy

The side door has been closed off now? It used to go out into a loading dock area for the Linq..

I was referring to the ability to go directly into the Link area, previously, before Link, you could go out the side door and walk down the ally to the Strip. I have not found any direct access to the Linq shopping area from the side door.
