We know that premier/premier plus members can access the Ritz-Carleton fractional ownership resorts - that information is posted on the myvacationclub.com web site.

I understand that this program is starting to expand so that at least some of the Grand Residence Inns can be accessed, as well. This information is not yet posted on the web site.

I been told by a senior person at owner services that the ones at Lake Tahoe and the one at Vail can now be accessed.

I asked this person about accessing the one in London England. I was told that we will have to wait and see if that will be done - first, the European MVCI resorts have to join the DC points program as well. She could not give me a timeline when this would happen.

I thought the Marriott GR Club was only Lake Tahoe, London (Mayfair), Kauai Lagoons, and Panama City (Bay Point)?

Are you sure about the one in Vail? There is another resort that has a similar name but its not from Marriott.

They are probably referring to the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Vail?

I believe the original units designated for Grand Residence at Kauai Lagoons have now been absorbed into the Marriott Vacation Club, which really leaves just three Grand Residence properties: Lake Tahoe (curiously, with no washer/dryer in units!), London (Mayfair), and Bay Point (Panama City Beach, FL).

Correct, any unsold units at Kauai Lagoons were conveyed to the trust. A few were sold as weeks right before the DC announcement.

ral, thanks.

Yea, I found out the hard way when I stayed there a few years back.

Later, I learned that the Grand Residence in Lake Tahoe was not built for purpose by Marriott. It was an aquisition.

In fact, the biggest complaint in that facility is that there are numerous floor plans and many as you have accurately stated don't have washers and dryers!

Some of the units are very nice and others are barely functional as layed out. Too bad because its a nice property.

At the hight of the real estate boom in 2005-2006, units were being sold at well over $100K for 21 days of usage. Thats when folks had no problem paying for this using their home equity lines of credit.
