When flying into Las Vegas from Honolulu how would I get from terminal 2 to Gate D in terminal 1? Is there a tram between terminals? any info would be appreciated. I will be flying on Hawaaian Air and connecting to United. Thanks

There is a tram in the terminal.

Even with the tram between terminals, you can still be in for a pretty good hike.

I have been looking at different sites about the airport and read about the tram but it stated the following.

"The McCarran International Airport People Movers are two separate automatic people mover systems operating at McCarran International Airport near Las Vegas, Nevada. The people mover system consists of two separate lines, one connecting the Main Terminal to the C Gate Concourse, and the other connects the Main Terminal to the satellite D Gate Concourse. Also, a third people mover line is currently under construction to connect the D Gate Concourse to the new Terminal 3.

A fourth people mover—an extension of the Las Vegas Monorail—is planned to link Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 with central Las Vegas four miles away from the airport."

Does anyone know if it conects Terminal 2 to Gate D?

They aren't connected and I don't know how you'd get from one to the other. The trams only connect the various areas of terminal 2. I'd use the "contact us" link on the McCarran webpage and ask them.

I spoke with general information at the airport and I was told there is a shuttle bus that will take you between terminals.

In all the time I've lived here I never knew that or saw one. But come to think of it, I wouldn't see any sort of a bus at the airport...they are all on level "0," and auto traffic is on level 1. For those of you from Europe, level 0 is subterranean (below ground) and level 1 is ground level, unlike where you live.
