How is the weather in December? Is it too cold out for enjoyable sightseeing? Will a trip to the Grand Canyon be out of the question that time of the year?

We were at the Phoenecian last Christmas, and the weather was quite pleasant...

I recall it being in the high teens, low 20's (almost shorts weather) -- I believe that would be around 65-70F in American.

Do you think they know we call their next holiday "American Thanksgiving"?

What else would you call it? :D

Fair is fair though. I've had American colleagues say they went to an "Ice Hockey" game when they were in town...:wall:

You'll notice I skipped straight to my Christmas avatar, 'cause that's the next correct :) holiday in the calendar...

Earlier today, we actually had "chance of snow flurries" in our local forecast for Fri , but now it's back to our regularly scheduled liquid sunshine...

Sure, but all other types of hockey (field, roller, table, etc) need a modifier. "Ice" hockey is the default use of the word hockey, IMO. (Nobody calls the NFL tackle football to differentiate it from flag or aussie rules...) :D

But it is referred to as "American Football" in Europe, so not to be confused with soccer. Doesn't matter anyway. Even though it is of lesser talent, CFL takes them both entertainment wise.

Go Bombers!
