I am giving away my two weeks timeshare as I have recently bought a house in Kissimmee

Location -Orange Lakes
Size -2 Bed 2 Bath
Season -Red Season
Maintenance-$600

To make it more attractive I would:

1) Pay 2011/12 maintenance fees

2) Pay $50 for the title transfer (you can get a simple deed preparation and title transfer with no escrow or title search for about $100.) try Lisa Short for this service - www.legaltimesharetransfers.com 706-219-0092 readylegal@gmail.com Lisa has been receiving good reviews on TUG.

Also what is the red season there?

Thank you

Troy

"Red" season is usually a designation given by the exchange company like RCI. RCI has Orange Lake (Kissimmee) designated "red" year-round.

According to RCI, it has 3 "colour" seasons: Red (most popular), white (less popular), and blue (least popular). The reason for these colours is mostly for trade value and opportunity.

However, a better measure of its desirability from RCI is now its "trading power units" (TPUs).

I personally would not put much stock in RCI's colour system. Supply and demand should dictate how valuable a week is. Besides, weeks in the Orlando area are generally low-value because of the glut of timeshares there with not enough demand to fill them.

Another flaw I see in this colour-designation system for Orange Lake is that Orange Lake is designated "red" year-round. So basically, RCI is saying that late-summer and early-autumn in Orlando is very valuable and in high demand just like a mid-summer week there.

Anyone who owns/owned a week in the Orlando are can tell you how low value those weeks are.
