I am creating a blog for a class. Teaching myself as I go. I didn't know the difference between a page and a post. I would now like to make one post its own page on blogspot.com and can't find any directions in their help section. Anyone know how to do it?

Thank you from a slow learner.

A page is the whole layout that you see at one time.

A post is one entry on that page.

blog basics...

...difference between a page and a post.
Thank you from a slow learner.

Denise is right. The page is the background, the stuff on the side bars, titles and bottom and a selection of the most recent posts.

Posts are like diary entries. Only so many will fit on the "current page" but you can select different "pages" of posts using the next/previous selections or the archive links "page" forward/back by year.

Example -> my blog

If you actually want ONLY one post to show on each page, you can edit your blog template "Show at most" setting to "1" - "post" on main page to do it.

Yes, what everyone has said I figured out. But one of my posts should be a page in itself. I could copy and paste, but it has links that I doubt would transfer. I'd like to avoid redoing them. I hoped there was a way to switch the post to an independent single page.
