I am taking a cruise that leaves near Venice. Would like to spend a few days before in Florence. Trains and rental cars seem difficult to get to Chioggia ( cruise port)

Does anyone know of a private driver to do a full day trip with sightseeing along the way.

You could fly into Florence and take the train from there to Venice.
Check out this Cruise Critic thread: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2987415-transfers-at-chioggia/
There is a # for a private taxi driver a few posts down.
And, if you aren't already a member of Cruise Critic, I suggest joining and asking your specific question on the Italy forum.

Try this company. My wife has used them a few times when public transport was going to be difficult and it has always been great service.

You have to select your travel start point and destination with the pick up and drop of dates and times. You will then be given options of different cars to book. If you have time wait a day or two before you book because there will be lower offers coming in. You have option of luxury cars with power points, water, signage etc. paying more or more basic cars that are still in great shape but much cheaper. Sometimes the car is older but still offer wifi, power point etc.
