She pointed to Marriott Bonvoy and all the other Marriott properties I could access with my Hyatt membership.
I had a similar pitch at Wild Oak Ranch. The guy claimed that I could access all of Hyatt and Marriott (including all hotels) directly using HPC points. He went as far as to say that once I sign up, an option will appear on hyatt.com to book hotels. I showed him the Park Hyatt in Paris for $1,500 per night, and he said, of course, you can book that for 75 points a night midweek during high season! Later on, I asked him to confirm this via text message, and he clearly didn't want to put false information in writing, so he backtracked and said he was talking about Interval exchanges, and that some hotel exchanges may be available there.

This sort of thing would mean instant termination back when I was working there. It was easy enough to sell just explaining how it worked.

We just booked a studio at Westin for 640 points in interval. It used to be 450 but for 200 points more I am still getting a week in Kaanapali. My 1 bedroom at Hyatt Kaanapali is 1450 pts, no studios there so it's still good value. We won't use it as often in Interval but as long as we can still get into Hyatt Maui we will keep them.
Not bad. How far out did you book?

Starting May 31. Booked it 2 days ago after seeing it on a Tug posting. Most of them were in preference but a few were open to all
