We are Tradewinds owners/members. We want to 'sell' either a whole boat or several cabins to a friend. How would I go about figuring out how much to charge them, fairly for us and them? When Tradewinds shows a cash price for a cruise, what does that include? It says, "Cash options from $7300/double occupancy cabin." Then it says, "AIF is $1490 per person". So, if you had 2 in the room, it would be $7,300 plus $2980? I would need to charge them for the maintenance fee on the points, right? and then do I charge for my points? What is the "referral" that I have seen people mention? Thank you.

I traded into a tradeswind greece boat it was about $1,600 each for all incl fee plus my exchange maintenance for unit I exchanged was $600 then $200 exchange RCI fee so $4,000 a queen bed room for 2 for what I did, as an owner, not sure what it costs you. There were 8 people in our standard boat which was bottom not lux catamaran. For whole boat $16,000.00 not sure if that helps you but that is not what company charges for whole boat.

Obviously the above estimate does not include tips for crew members which would be extra but you wouldnt charge for that. Your friends would need to know they are expected to pay that at least $250 per couple or 20% of all inclusive fees which vary per cruise area.

I would say $4k for a cabin is a good deal. I tried booking a whole boat about 7 months ago in bvi or carribean and couldn’t find anything for like 4 months of the year.

If it were a close friend or family, id have them pay any fees associated with using the unit. If you want to make a slight profit for yourself I also don't see anything wrong with that especially since they are able to save money with the steep discount you're giving them. Ideally what you can do is look to see how much others are renting a whole boat or cabin for and then come in under that price. They are saving on the rental market price and you are covering your fees. I did a TW cruise through my RCI points and it was one of the best trips ive taken with a TS. I almost bought resale options but unfortunately TW heavily increased their fees to start a new account and transfer resale points in.
