Madge,
I booked an extra vacation for some friends of mine with a Pueblo Bonito resort using an RCI bonus week. The RCI/Pueblo Bontio rep told me two weeks before the arrival date just call the resort and change the name on the reservation. I asked if I did not need a guest cert. and he told me NO because I own at the Pueblo Bontio, Is this correct? I do not want my friends having any problems upon check-in.

If this is correct it that the same case with other resorts that I own for example Cabo Villas Beach Resort. If I make an exchange through RCI do I have to put a guest certificate on the exchange? Or do I just have to call the resort and notify them I am an owner and someone else will be checking in with the exchange?

jules54,

Most resorts do not require Guest Certificates for owners who confirm internal exchanges. However, this is really up to each resort to decide. I would suggest doing what you did this time and contact the resort in advance to inquire.
