I spoke with a supervisor at Starwood today who seemed very knowledgable and asked her if an owner who is not in the SVN could reserve a high demand week and have that week deposited into II. She said that this can be done but admitted that you might have to talk to a couple people to get it done and that the rep you talk to has to send an email to the person responsible for making the deposit instructing them of your request. She also said that this can also be done if you're in the SVN if you request that it be done, but very few people make such a request. I think she mentioned that for the SVN members, it was more of an accomodation for the customer than a requirement.

There's been many comments on this subject and differing opinions about how this works and since I found someone at Starwood there who seems to have a grip on what they were doing (noticed I said "seems"), thought I'd mention it.
