I was very lucky to get a trade into the MC Penthaouse Suites with II. It appeared on the II site 3 weeks before checkin and I grabbed it with my WorldMark flexchange for only 4,000 points. We are owners at the MC and had a resevation for 8/4 -11. We got the II exchange for 8/12-19. It was great.
Now about the Penthouse Suites. Firstly, we did not have to pay a nightly fee for the daily cleaning and other amenities. It must be a RCI thing. Secondly, we own a full 1 bed at MC and our penthouse suite was much much smaller. The amenities are much better such as not only internet access in the room but your own computer and printer, heavenly bed and bath, flat screen TV's in LR and Bed room, DVD, CD with Bose speakers, upgraded furniture and accesories. We did feel spoiled. The penthouse guests have access to the regular clubhouse and their own reading room. Also there are 2 outside rooftop terraces for penthouse guest. It was a great 2 weeks in NY.
