April - Oct / Shoulder Season in Mexico
They must be getting desperate for new sales prospects!
I do not think that Vidanta / Vida / Mayan is desperate for new sales prospects .
There were lots in the room at NV when we did an owners " update " in Feb .
I do think they want to keep the flow of visitors coming - every way they can -
both to fill suites , AND add new TS owners.
HOWEVER - I do think it is the result of their success in selling AND their goal to keep growing .
If you sell TS as developer and invest into growth of your properties you are also expanding your shoulder season availability .
They have also " upped " their relationship with SFX by giving new owners Bonus Vida Weeks that are only usable by exchange into SFX .
I do not think that even Vida SFX weeks use up all the developer shoulder weeks
in a RTU TS that has 7 separate locations and probably over 7000 total units.
- SO - now a Promo deal with RCI .
For Vidanta - (?) what is their incremental cost to fill a suite in Neuvo Vallarta in late May or early June - when the snowbirds are gone and their 5000 or so employees there would like to keep working and earning tips . Not much - the infrastructure is all there .
Long term - I think Vidanta would like to fill more of the summer weeks with
Mexican National contracts - but they will ALWAYS have a lot of room in spring & fall shoulder seasons - since they build / built for PEAK snowbird season .
( note : the promo is for USA and Canadian RCI members only)
Because they build and staff in Pesos - the rise in the US dollar to peso exchange rate from 2015 to 2016 could probably pay a large part of this " No RCI exchange fee " deal .
Sounds like a good deal for everyone .

and the wrist band folks will be working very hard to get every exchanger to a presentation .
