Mayan Palace Resorts

Madge , We are going on an exchange to the Mayan Palace Riveria Maya in October. I have read about a 1 in 5 rule among their resorts.

I have also noticed some available on Extra vacations for different Mayan Palace resorts. Do the Extra vacations count in the 1 in 5 rule? Or are you able to select them since they are not an exchange into their resorts. thanks for your information!

Mayan enforces the one-in-five rule even for Extra Vacations, bonus weeks, etc. Most resorts don't, but my understanding is that Mayan does.

I am not aware that they do, but I'll check with our folks in Mexico to see if anything has changed.

Buganvilias did not have a one-in-four rule before now; however, they have just institued one. Exchange Confirmations completed prior to May 17, 2006, will be honored; however, exchanges going forward will be subject to the new rule.
