This is the one bedroom unit at Los Abrigados Resort, known as the Jerome unit. It may be upstairs with a balcony (no elevator) or downstairs with a patio. The bedroom may contain one king or two double sized beds on request, with a pullout sofa in the living room.
Los Abrigados is on Oak Creek in the heart of Sedona - adjacent to the Tlaquepaque Art Center, with its wonderful shops, galleries, and restaurants. The resort has multiple swimming pools, hot tubs, a full workout center, and a full spa for anything from massage to hair and nails. It also contains two restaurants but there are many fine restaurants across the parking lot in Tlaquepaque. Of course, there are uncountable things to do in Sedona from hiking the red rock country to visiting the Grand Canyon to shopping for art and Indian jewelry.
The resort was acquired by Diamond Resorts International about five years ago but this unit does not belong to DRI. One can join DRI for a small fee or remain separate and simply enjoy many years of use at Los Abrigados. This unit is NOT part of DRI - is actually still part of Sedona Vacation Club, which allows far more flexibility with the unit (more ability to split time, ability to change reservation up to three days in advance, and other advantages).
Unit has been rented for this year so first use is 2016. Week can be split into several uses - handy when passing through from one spot to another. I LOVE this place but my traveling activities have changed since I bought here many years ago.. One thing I really like is that there are multiple pet friendly units (at a fee, of course, but at least you can travel with you pup!) I will cover all closing costs. Maintenance fees are about $1000 and there is bonus time available for a reduced rate a week or two out but nothing to make your heart skip a beat. DRI does pretty well during prime time renting out rooms so they don't tend to lower the cost for bonus time in summer, fall, or Christmas. Other times might be better.
