Are check-in days assigned to specific buildings?

I have 2 units on hold with different check-in days and was wondering if I could get same or close buildings.

Thanks,
Nancy

I'm not sure if they do, its possible. We have checked in on a Sat as well as a Sun & stayed in the same building -but that was our request. I usually phone about 10 days to 2 weeks before our check-in and ask for a unit on a high (top) floor in a specific building. So far they've been very accommodating, but we have never stayed in peak times. YMMV.

Does anyone have a current map? Are there any buildings to be avoided? What buildings have been updated?

Thanks,
Nancy

Expansion Of Vacation Village At Parkway ?

Here's a map of the village
The area on the map shown as Arabian Nights Dinner Theater has been cleared. All those buildings are gone. It's a large vacant lot.

My expectation is that the former Arabian Nights property is slated for construction of future new Vacation Village At Parkway condo buildings -- but I have been unable to find out anything about that via internet.

I was sad to see it gone but I'm sure you are right.
What else would go there?
And VV is wanting to grow?

Do all units have their own washers and dryers? (I know the units we had did, but seem to remember that older buildings do not.) If so which ones don't have them?

Thanks again,
Nancy

Far as I know, they all have stack washer-dryers, even the smaller "B" units.

Building 16

We stayed there a few months back in Building 16. It was great. The building is near the back of the property, overlooks a nice pool, and is one of the newer buildings. We really liked this property. So convenient to Disney.

A/B vs A/C is important!

I never found where it stated that we reserved an A/B unit, but they do follow that designation. A/C is the newer buildings (16-19) and A/B the older. We loved our stay in Building 3, however. We did see dogs being walked from the lower floors, but we were on the fifth. We walked right out onto the playground and quiet pool and were close to the activity center-with four small kiddos, this is a plus!

We didn't expect to enjoy VVatP as much as we did, but it was a wonderful week. Great weather helped, but the nature walk and activities were nice without being overwhelming.
