So I finally bought my first timeshare on ebay form selltimeshare org. In August. I'm staring to think I made a mistake buying through luky987. Right after our winning bid for Villa del Palmar PV we sent back the signed paperwork. I called Pacific Property Transfer and someone there said they received it. Then we sent money. Also received. Then waited. Phoned Pacific transfer later and never received a call back. Finally (I am very patient) I called Selltimeshare and spoke with Matt. He checked our file but it said the paperwork wasn't received . So sent it again and was confirmed by Matt he received it. Good. So now should be able to call Pacific Property Transfer and find out what's going on. Well I could if they ever answered their phone. It switches to a voice mail that you can't leave a msg on because it's full. So anyone out there that did buy a timeshare thru them and it finally went thru please tell me eventually I will get my timeshare.

If you conduct a TUG search (see the blue bar near the top of this page) on Pacific Property Transfer, you will retrieve numerous TUG posts reflecting first hand accounts and experiences. I've never dealt with the named seller and / or closer myself, so cannot offer any such first hand account.

Seek and ye shall find... ;)

Ive done three deals with Pacific transfer. Two went through quickly and easily. On the third they couldnt get clear title so they gave me my money back. They took too long to actually admit that there was a problem; trying to solve it. But as I said, when they couldnt solve it, I got my money back.

Id bid on their stuff again but because of what I thought was poor communication Id only bid on something I really, really wanted, and I wouldnt tie up much money.

I agree with Ron, I bought two from them with no problems and I would buy
From them again but I didn't have any money on the line. I basically took them
Off their hands.

I just won an auction with them last week also without a meaningful amount of money on the line. Here we are 8 days later and I already have confirmation that the deed has been recorded in my name so they are great in my book. I had to follow with them to get the ball rolling, but once it did, things went very quickly.

Sounds like a similar experience that I had. Mine went fast too but not that
Fast. With the other threads on TUG, I think we can say they are inconsistent. :D

Here's an update. I emailed selltimeshares.org to see what was going on. I just received this email from them.

Good afternoon Margaret,

Sorry for that, we are no longer using Pacific for transfers and In less time closings will be handling this sale, phone #855.538.6705. They are fairly quick and easy.

Best regards,

So I left a msg (it is Saturday) with this number. Hopefully it goes quicker.

What bugs me is this is not even a property transfer just a name transfer on the VDP docs. Ah well

I think you will enjoy using In LESS time, I have just completed a closing
with them. It is no fun being left out of the loop, when you are just trying to
confirm that the deal is moving forward.

So Here is an update.

Finally phoned again to sell timeshare.org and spoke to Rick (Maybe Nick). I asked what was taking so long and told him about the change from Pacific to Intime. I hadn't received any info from anyone. Well he informed me that wasn't a problem with Selltimeshare but a problem with the closing company. I said I didn't have a choice in closings that Selltimeshare is the one that picks. He then informed me that well you bid on it and knew the closing co. So it's my problem. Yup. He was right. I bid on it. And this is just about when I went into warp drive with him. That worked. He said my closing is still with Pacific so I phoned again and got a call back. Was told there is some paperwork sent out for me and should be receiving it shorly. So now I'm in wait mode again. I don't get it. Even if you aren't an above board company the paperwork or callbacks or whatever could still be reasonably efficient.

In my not so humble opinion I think Pacific Transfer might actually be In Less Time Closings. I received the same exact boilerplate update email mid stream during a closing where all of a sudden the new name was being used. Everything else was the same. I believe MacMillan started the new LLC to shift the appearance to a better reputation company. In a few years it will probably change again.

The address for In Less Time is not a business address. I am going to do some research on the registered owner but for now it is safe to assume that In Less Time is the new Pacific Transfer but the change is legal only and not operational. They probably got overburdened with the complaints and possible even legal threats.

All that aside I have closed a few with Pacific Transfer and two still in process. Most went ok. The one that drug on for several months I eventually got what I paid for.

Wait, that makes it sound like Pacific Transfer is an okay company. :ignore: They were slow, and a name change isn't going to change it.

But maybe they are better now, I have no idea.

I had a bad experience with the company. I would never buy through them again, but I don't need to worry about it, because I am blocked from bidding. No big loss.

The registered owner of In Less Time Closings is a 27 year old female that lives 6 miles from the supposed business address. She is young, doesn't have money, foul mouthed, but bragged about having her own new timeshare title company on her twitter account. This "business" model makes it look similar to the owner of selltimeshare.org. That owner was also a younger female with very little means or connections to the timeshare industry.

Is there a website where people can sign up to be legal owners of an LLC but fake owners from an operational stand point? How many here think David MacMillan is going through great lengths to sever himself legally from the timeshare disposal aspect of his business?

Here is an interesting tweet from the "owner":

Well....screw owning my own company. Nothing for a tax return! Craaaaaaaaapp.

HELP (Bought on Ebay.Mistake)

I would have put this with my previous thread but I really need help and quickly. I am supposed to fedex this document back. I finally received some documents from In Less Time. (That's good). But the document is a contract of assignment Villa del Palmar - PV. The email I received with it asks that in order to expedite this transfer I have to sign and notarize the att contract. It also states the membership/purchase agreement information is already completed in the current members form, please leave blank. They list on the email the membership info which is correct but there is nothing on the contract of assignment filled in. So essentially I am signing and having a notary public sign a blank document. (Which I doubt any notary public would do anyway.) So is this normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

eBay [timeshare] sales are non binding . . .

The worst that is going to happen to you is you might be blocked from bidding on his future auctions

Hopefully you haven't sent any money because eBay won't help you get it back

Guess I didn't explain myself well enough. I have sent money. (Small amt) and I have already sign and sent documents. I just would like to know if this is a normal thing to do this to send to the resort.

I am not explaining this very well but I sent back the first set of docs with signatures and money and thought that was it so now they've sent me this contract of assignment for VP which they want signed however nothing is filled in. Did anyone else ever have to do this

I don't sign blank documents, especially for a slimeball like the one you're dealing with, and I don't think this is normal. I've bought and sold a lot of timeshares and have never signed or asked anyone to sign a blank contract or deed.

I bought a contract from selltimeshare.org myself back in July and it is still not transferred into my name. The seller says it is the title company's fault. The title company said the paperwork has been sent off to Wyndham in the middle of August. Wyndham said they have never received anything from anybody on that contract number.

Why don't you call Villa de Palmar and ask them if the assignment contract is legit, it sounds like the resort is requiring it to transfer ownership.

Update on my situation. I have been emailing selltimeshare.org since September and they won't respond. I have called Pacific Transfers dozens of times and they do not answer or if they do answer they put you on hold and never come back. And I mean never. I held for over an hour once.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

But it seems I am out a few hundred dollars and one of my contracts never made it into my account.

Fortunately I have all the contracts I need and won't have to trust an Ebay seller to actually deliver what I paid for.

THIS was the ONLY contract we bought that we DID NOT use the credit card for so we have no recourse to get our money back. The other 5 we used the credit card for.

They have had 58 complaints filed against them with BBB.

I am dealing with a similar issue. What number are you calling for Pacific Transfer? The previously listed main number is actually going to an answering service in India since they are changing their legal operations to Just In Time. They even killed their website already. If you are calling this number that would be why you are getting put on hold forever. On the surface "Pacific Transfer" is no more, but operationally they are alive and well. Shoot me a PM and I can give you a number to still contact them where it is received as Pacific Transfer.

58 complaints is actually an extremely small number considering they have probably transferred tens of thousands of timeshares. They are a massive operation. Don't get me wrong they can really mess it up. They have done it to me twice now.

I just got a copy of my deed, it was recorded Sep 13 from a purchase back in June. Now they want a lot of personal info for the resort transfer, the form says Advanced Financial Company. I called the resort ownership dept to verify this form is required.

The email was from Cassandra Laffon using Pacific Property Transfer signature and address.

They suck! I purchased from them through ebay back in early Jan 2013. In their instructions they say the process will take 2-3 months or something like that. However, if you wait 30 day (maybe 45 or 60) with ebay you no longer can file a complaint through ebay. You can not even leave negative feedback.

So do NOT wait to give bad feedback or open a case with ebay as it can always be changed later. But if you WAIT they tell you they will do nothing.

It's now almost a year later and still don't have the timeshare.

After around 6 months they said the timeshare they actually received from their seller was nothing like what they sold me. I asked for a refund, they said 'no'. They then said they had one on hand that is what I purchased and would get it to me through pacific transfer.

A few more months have passed. Sent them the notarized deed and docs and nothing.

Just got off the phone with SellTimeshare.org and the guy was not only not friendly he was rude. He said all the times I had called back, that nothing was in the file. I told him I wanted a refund. He said he would note it on the form for the manager to see, but I couldn't talk to him.

These guys are thieves. Finally called the cops to report theft.

Finally called the cops to report theft.

Careful with that. Technically you filed a false police report which is a crime. You willingly gave them your money. Them not yet delivering on their end of the deal is not something that is classified as theft and allowed to be reported as such on a police report. It is a civil matter. The best you can legally do without much trouble is file a complaint with the attorney general.

Basically you have NO recourse through eBay. The only thing you can do is leave negative feedback. You have no dispute resolution support through eBay for real estate transactions.

I am having problems with this seller also. I have the cell # of the President if you want it, if it's the same number he is giving you the run around talking about "checking with the manager to see". PM me if you want it.
