Official thread - Jan and Feb in PV

This way we can keep the names and dates and locations all in one place.

I will be at Sheraton Buganvilias Jan 14-Feb 4 and then at Villa del Mar Feb 4-18.

We'll be at Costa Sur from Feb 2 to Feb 9, an odd Thursday to Thursday trip. At least we'll sleep at Costa Sur. We're more likely to be found at Cafe Roma, Que Pasa, or one of beachfront bars along Playa Los Muertos.

A friend is going to be joining us for five of our days at the GM; I am so excited. She is one who has always worried about our safety in Mexico. By the time she comes down I should know of some good places to day trip with her and hope that she leaves loving Mexico as much as I do.

We will be at the Buganvilias on week #4 and a few weeks before and after at Paradise Village.

I am new to this site but am learning a LOT!!! I just wrote a review for Club Regina that you may want to read. It was a very "different" kind of vacation experience for my husband and I. While we were in PV, we went to the Buganvilias Vacation Club to tour it since we bought a presidential lookoff. I was in absolute paradise!!!! The resort was absolutely beautiful! I cant wait to go in 2012! (Not sure when I'm going)

In regards to Regina, we did go across the street a lot to Vila Vera, who is also in the process of remodeling. If I had to go back to Raintree in PV, I would probably choose to stay at Vila Vera and go across the street for food or into the marina. Let me know if you would like more info on those two resorts. I took a few pictures as well.

We've been gone for a couple weeks to Mazatlan, so just now replying. We became Club Regina owners about 10 years ago when it was still part of Westin, and it has been sad to see the changes over the years which haven't been good, and maintenance fees/assessments continuing to go up. We also own at Buganvilias and the staff and property are so much better. We were at both resorts this last Feb/March and agree with you... Buganvilias is much better.

I've been here in PV since October 29.
Might go to Santa Barbara to spend Xmas with my daughter (or she here) but will soon come back as I intend to stay as long as possible.

First stayed at Villas del Pelmar (getaways), then Paradise Village (timeshare), then Villas del Pel Flamingoes (starting Dec 10) then back to Paradise Village and THEN maybe rent longterm or buy.

Yes to Cafe Roma (Fox and Foxy are great hosts) and Que Pasa (JR's haunt). Try the Sea Monkey for 12 peso margaritas and sunset.
