Just got ok on exchange to the Grand Vista in Orlando for Oct. 2010. Looks like a pretty big resort. The reviews are mostly good.
Anyone ever stayed there? Any suggestions on restaurants around the resort? Will probably do Disney and Universal a couple of days and then just hang out at the resort for a couple od days.

Grande Vista is a nice resort.

I think that one of the resort's positive features is the presence of the sit-down restaurant - Nick's Place, I think - at the golf clubhouse. Other options are the outdoor bar and grill, called Copa Loca, on the west side of the resort with tables near the pool. There's also a typical Marriott timeshare Marketplace store (deli food plus convenience store) and take-out place (pizza, etc.) at the main pool area behind the check-in building. All pretty good fare, depending on what you want.

There area also many off-resort restaurants within a mile or two of Grande Vista. If you're in the mood for something specific I'd suggest asking the concierge for suggestions.
