I was watching that one but don't know if a 7000 point non-deeded RTU is worth $7000 when a 7000 point deeded sale is going for $10,000 (unless you really need NYC as your home resort). The HCNY property is also subject to ROFR so if HGVC thinks that is such a great deal, it won't go through. I'm one of those recent ebay buyers but don't want to tempt fate by posting details until I pass ROFR!
AFAIK, Hilton should exercise ROFR within 3 weeks or 30 days. When I purchased Flamingo (Hilton has no ROFR for Flamingo), Hilton passed all papers within 2 weeks.
It'll depend on what provision was in effect when HGVC first sold the unit. For the Seaworld unit that I bought, the seller had to give HGVC 30 days in which to decide, but they only took ~ 2 weeks to issue a waiver.
