eBay timeshare listings

In looking at a timeshare listing that showed up on a saved search, I noticed that quite a few timeshares are not being listed in "Everything Else -> Memberships" instead of in the "Timeshares" category.

Interesting. How long has this been going on? Is this an attempt to get around the non-binding auction provisions for real estate purchases? I suppose this listing does actually make sense for those situations in which the timeshare is really a purchase of a club membership or an undivided interest in a trust.

I could see this for true RTU properties. Though I don't think E-bay would buy the non-binding auction if a deeded week was listed there. You could challenge that what you bid on was real estate and probably back out without any repercussions.
 
It's probably tro get around the $35 to list and $35 if complete listing fee for the $ 1.00 auctions,since most of the costs are paid outside of the bid price.

I watch WM Houskeeping token and credit rentals and they have migated there (they probably belong there) , but the point contracts are still in T/S real-estate section.

Many of the bulk resellers include "binding language" in their audit descriptions :hysterical:

trying to get around the listing fee is probably the main purpose... I would assume anyways, but it's also like shooting yourself in the foot because no one would know to look there for a timeshare anyways.
