Hi all,
We sent in our room and other requests for MKO (8/16-8/23) last week and just got a similar email for our reservation the following week (8/23-8/30) at Waiohai Beach Club. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good (and possible to get) building location for a TBOV reservation code at Waiohai? We'd love an OV (and seem to have this - will request a higher floor) but also want to be as close as possible to the action (ie to the MAZE, pool, beach etc. ) since we have our 9 year old daughter along for the ride (and boy is she excited!). So, if anyone has suggestions for specific building names, room lots (odd/even room, facing this way or that) at Waiohai - we'd appreciate it!

And YES, we already made our reservations for the Beach House (Friday night 8/28 at 6:00PM for sunset!) !!!

Thanks for any help, recommendations in advance! And oh yeah - ALOHA!
Vicki

Here is the layout. As you can see, Hale 1 & 8 are closest to the water. Please note that any peek of the ocean is considered oceanview, even if you are looking over a parking lot, like in Hale 7.

The single most important thing on room assignments at the Waiohai is avoiding the rooms on the back side of Hale 4; they look out over a fairly ugly parking lot. Unfortunately, I don't know the room numbering scheme in Hale 4 (are the bad rooms odd or even?, etc.), but perhaps someone else can help on that point.

Make sure the Waiohai knows that you are multiple week Marriott owners; that will give you some amount priority in room assignments. It may be enough to avoid getting one of these less desirable rooms.

We prefer Hale 4 for the quiet location and nice view, altho the farthest walk from the beach. We stay in 4206, which looks right over the property. The odd numbered rooms look at that ugly parking lot.
