My family and friends will spend a week at Grand Luxxe from August 7-14 . We'd like to do some things a couple of days outside of the resort - are there any interesting towns or places to visit other than Puerto Vallarta? Any interesting sights we should put on our list? Have any of you visited during early August - I'm afraid it may be raining for much of the time we're there - something we hadn't thought about when we confirmed our reservations a while ago. Thanks! Linda

Vallarta Adventures has many activities and is just outside of the old resort entrance down the street and around the corner from the Tacos Break Restaurant. They have a dolphin swim program, zip lining, quads, sailing, trips to outer islands, sight seeing trips etc. Their web site is www.vallarta-adventures.com/. The resort has a desk in the Grand Luuxe lobby that will make reservations for you and direct you to their location. Have a great time.

Go to the town of Sayulita.

It's a quaint little surf village with perfect waves.

We liked it so much we're going to rent a house there the next time we go to Vallarta.

Agree, just came back from PV a few weeks ago. Took the bus to Sayulita, only 35 pesos (2 dlls), spent the day there with the family. Lots of vendors on the beach and a walk up Oxxo store by the beach!! Ez walk to get some cold ones!!

Trip Adviser has a forum for both Nuevo & Puerto Vallarta. Many suggestions there for things to do, places to eat, etc.
