We will be at Camden Yards for the Orioles vs. Yankees game on 9/12. Staying over at the Marriott Inner Harbor Friday night to enjoy Charm City before dining at Woodberry Kitchen on Saturday night. Any recommendations on good food/casual attire dining spots within walking distance of the hotel or ballpark?

Original purpose of trip was baseball and food (Nats are away that weekend) and I think we have booked 2 winners just down the road.

Phillips has three different restaurants or did when I was last there on the inner harbor.

If they are not close enough to walk, buses are very easy to use in Baltimore.

I have tickets for THAT GAME! Will be with several family members as these are replacement tickets for a cancelled game.

I knew it was a baseball game -- my sister is from the MD area and has the tickets.... I plan on drinking a beer. :ignore:

Actually, baseball is NOT my sport but I have been hosting the last 2 years of SPRING TRAINING in PHX.

Yep, it's a make-up game. We were already planning to be in Baltimore on Saturday for some Star-Spangled celebration activities and a nice dinner after, so the game Friday afternoon was a plus.

DH made me a baseball fan back when the Orioles were our only local team. Now I'm a Nats fan through thick and thin. It's possible there could be a Beltway world series :cheer:

Its been a long time for me, but you cant go wrong at Phillips

The last ball game I went to in Baltimore was game 5 of the 1970 World Series at Memorial Stadium..(Baltimore won in 5 games)

But Im a DC boy, my team was the old Washington Senators (now the Minnesota Twins)

RIP Harmon Killebrew. I never saw the Senators play in DC, but I'm old enough to remember one of the Twins star players.

My sister told me there are 2 games that day ... the makeup game 1PM... the park is emptied & then, the regularly scheduled game later. Need 2 sets of tickets.

My sister's 2 oldest are away at college - which leaves those 2 seats going to my 89yo aunt & I. We are coming down for the youngest boy's 14th birthday - which is that day (the 12th).... he has always had strangest b-day's. My aunt has watched MLB baseball for years only on the TV - I think this might be her 3rd in person watched game.

Not 100% sure how far you want to walk or exactly how far it is, but Little Italy in Baltimore is great. We're actually stopping there Columbus Day weekend for dinner on the way to see clients in the DC metro area. We like Ciao Bella and it's in Restaurant.com too. Lot's of others there too.

Thanks. Little Italy may be a dinner destination since we've decided to either "unpack" the cars or cab to dinner.

Bring a good camera. Last time Derek Jeter will be in Balt as a player. Orioles will have a small tribute for him one of the days the Yanks are in town. He should play the first game of the doubleheader hopefully for those going.

If he's in the 1st of the doubleheader, I'm quite certain it will be the last time I'll see Derek Jeter on the field. Camera ready :)

John:

Thanks for the heads up on Blue Moon Cafe. Will try to make Saturday breakfast and beat out the lines. There are likely to be lots of visitors in town for baseball and the 200 year flag celebration.
