I'm going to be traveling to Buffalo, New York (actually, Southwales to be specific) for a 3-day weekend toward the end of September. Any recommendations? Looking for family of 5 so having multiple beds/rooms would be great.

I have no recommendations, but I would NOT recommend the Byblos Niagara Falls hotel on Grand Island. I was there last summer for a conference and found it to be dingy and not well maintained.

Byblos just took over management in June, 2013. Prior to that it was flagged as a Holiday Inn. I have heard lots of good things about the current operation.
Under the new management, major improvements have been made.
On the other hand, it would be quite a trek from there to South Wales
The nearest town likely to having housing available is East Aurora, but that could be pricey B&B type stuff or the Roycroft Inn. For low cost housing, the best bet would be the hotels around the Buffalo Airport. Those will be 25 to 30 miles from South Wales.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. Actually found a great place with a full kitchen in separate bedrooms in downtown Buffalo but unfortunately it's fully booked for the weekend. But a good resource in case anyone is ever looking.
