Which do you prefer??

Rehoboth or Bethany Beach

We have been to both but Bethany only once and dont remember too much
I think there is more to do at Rehoboth

Will be with dd, grd (14) and sil

I think more around Rehoboth mini golf on the boardwalk, lots of arcades, theatre if you want to see a play and more mini golf on Hwy 1

Been to Ocean City many times and it is too crowded

Also parking at Rehoboth the permit I think is the best option

Bethany i dont recall if they have permit parking or feed the meters

Which do you prefer?
We enjoy Lewes Beach -- home of the wimpy waves.

If boardwalk, mini golf, arcades, and beach are the priorities, consider Ocean City, MD. It has everything Rehoboth does and more.

Been to OC

we are staying in Dover DE and they will drive to Rehoboth

OC is too far

They have never been to Rehoboth or Bethany.

I know they cant compare to all the mini golf in OC but the 2 or 3 in Rehoboth is enough

And go to some of the Dover museums GrD is excited to go to the AFB museum and see Air Force One

There would be a lot more to do in Rehoboth than in Bethany, especially with a 14 yr. old. Closer for you coming from Dover.
Do not know how much time you are spending in Dover but here a several suggestions for things to do in the area that I have found interesting: The Air Mobility Command Museum (I think you are going there), The Delaware Agricultural Museum & Village, The John Dickinson Plantation and The Biggs Museum of American Art. The Biggs museum is in downtown Dover near the Green and the old statehouse. It's been super hot & humid so early morning is a good time to be out (and even that has not been very pleasant).

The Delaware State Fair in Harrington is going on right now, I think until Saturday.

Red Lobster and Olive Garden
Dupont Hwy, Dover, DE 19901.

Cute little Mexican Restaurant
near Burger King and Taco Bell.
Nice decorations outside Rt 13
Dupont Hwy, Dover, Delaware.

New Restaurant down by the
SuperWalmart West side of hwy.

Try the
Festival Buffet on the upper level
at Dover Downs Casino and Hotel.
Use the hotel entrance and request
a table looking out at the race track.

Thanks for the info!! We will be in dover for 3 nights
Planned on the air mobility museum and agricultural museum for the gr. D

Gr.d is excited to see Air Force one. I showed her pics of when we toured it

We have been to both AMC and the agricultural museum
Never made it to downtown Dover. Maybe this time

Kids will drive to the beach on tues and Wednesday. More then likely just have dinner at the casino Wednesday evening. Beach all of Tuesday!!!

Normally we get to rehoboth in 45 minutes but this is summer traffic now

I don't care for the buffet at dover. We like the buffet better at Harrington but minors aren't permitted in the casino except at Bonz restaurant

I know the state fairgrounds are at Harrington

When we come to dover I think it will only be 80 but comfortable for the boardwalk

They will lv on Thursday so that will be museum day!!! Back to the casino for a late lunch before driving home

I am not a big fan of the Dover Downs buffet either. Michele's is good but expensive. Have had good meals in Frankies & the Garden Cafe and they are priced reasonably. Glad to hear the beach visit does not include any Friday travel, the traffic to the beach is TERRIBLE.
Hope you have a great vacation.

Rehoboth beach restaurant recommendations

Will do fins raw bar for happy hour
Gr d can go and sit off to the side not at the bar

What do you recommend for an afternoon snack on the boardwalk
Green turtle purple parrot(say it is ok for families daytime)
Go fish

They like crap cakes and other seafood
Oysters we will do at docs in dover. And fins at rehoboth
We have been to purple parrot for an afternoon drink and appetizer both sitting at the bar and outside patio.

Go Fish for great fish & chips.
Thrasher's Fries with vinegar ( I don't think they even serve ketchup)
Dogfish Head for bar/pub food and beer if you are a fan
Nonna's Sweet Treats, magical ingredients with no fat, carbs or calories. Long time members of my church so small bias.
