ebay and paypal go independant

Got and e-mail saying that ebay and paypal will become two different companies in 2015. I guess paypal is profitable enough to sell off.

Likely more a regulatory capture issue. PayPal gets more and more like a bank so needs a bank holding structure to separate it from the unregulated eBay.
PayPal UK is already a registered electronic money institution with the FCA.
