I have been researching Westin timeshares since I got married back in 2009. I have been back multiple times and our family loves the resort. We just heard back from Syed and Westin waived their rights for $22k for our WKORVN OF 2bd lockout. We are super excited and can't wait to go back next year!! This has been a very exciting year for my family. Earlier this week I was given wonderful news on a new promotion at work! I just wanted to thank everyone on this site for providing me with countless advice over the years. Now.....what should I get next!!??

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your vacations.

I think you should enjoy your vacation before asking "What's next?" As much as I loved my Starwood vacations, the network is very limited.

Awesome! And congratulations! $22K sounds like a good deal on an oceanfront. Last year, Starwood/Vistana was aggressively exercising ROFR at much higher prices (for example: $25K for oceanview at WKORV, $24.5K for WKORVN oceanview).

And congrats on your promotion at work!

This is extremely good advice for WKORVN where most of the OF suites are excellent but a few are not very good at all.

Congrats! $22K sounds like a very good price for OF! I'd reserve at 12 mos. and follow up online with a request for a high floor in Bldg. 8.

Thanks guys! Wife and I have been looking forward to this for a long time. I'm just glad I rescinded a Nanea resort view for $67000 in time. We are in the process of closing and the current owner assured me they would make my rezzie 12months out.

Looks like you saved about $45K.

And that doesn't account for the view differential -- OF at WKORVN where you purchased vs. Resort View at Nanea.

I think you did great on your purchase
