Really need to reduce the number of weeks we own.
This resort is managed by Consolidated Resorts and is across the street from Sands of Kahana, so not really oceanfront, but you do see the ocean from the two-bedroom units, which are on the top two floors of the Kahana Villa buildings.
All of the 2 bedrooms at Kahana Villa are deeded as the same unit type, so in other words, none are labeled more "ocean view" than others.
The kitchen is nice, the units are very clean, and there is an air-conditioning unit in the living room. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own full bathroom with shower/ tub combo and a hallway bathroom for the second bedroom, which has twin beds.
There is a small pool and hot tub.
Many of the units at KVV are wholly owned, and few are actually timeshare, but we have had great luck renting our week for the years we haven't used it.
The closing costs are $174, plus there is a $550 Transfer Fee to Consolidated Resorts. The closing costs are the new owner's responsibility. The transfer fee is exorbitant, I know, but some of the money goes into reserve fund.
So to be more succinct:
2 bed EOY, odd years, West Maui
$991 maintenance fees with taxes included (for a 2 bed, not bad)
Closing costs and transfer fee, $174 + $550
Why are we giving away this terrific timeshare?
We are giving away a lot of timeshares currently. We are downsizing, PLUS we bought 3 weeks at a resort in West Maui, also managed by Consolidated, which we love, and we see ourselves returning every year during whale season.
