Any idea who might have the best rates at FLL for a late November rental in the economy to compact class? I'm still inclined to use the Costco member discount, but there may be better ones out there as we belong to Airmiles, Aeroplan, CAA, II, RCI and could join CARP or AARP if it would help......
TIA

rental

I have reserved with Fox...was recommended by another Tugger a while back...never used them so not sure how great they are but their prices are good from what I researched at the time...I am getting a mid size car for around $440 or so for 14 days...there is a shuttle at the airport to take you there:)

Thanks Kalima - just went on to the Fox website and for the timeframe, a compact car from Fox comes in at $395.38 USD and a Budget compact with the $25 Costco.ca discount comes in at $196... Think I'll be staying with Budget;)

Try Priceline name-your-own price about a week before you need the car. I find that about half the time (or more) I get the best deal that way. No harm in trying. Your do not know the car rental company you will get until your price is accepted, but they only use Alamo, National, Budget, Hertz and Avis, so it will be one of those.

Yes I could do PL - I've found they are not so reasonable though the last time I used them

Hi Barb! Check Southwest Airline's car rental specials. We have had good luck with them.

Check out Payless Car Rental. They are off site but there is a shuttle to the rental place. We just rented a mini-van for $217.00 for a week using AAA discount. First time using them but hey ~ the price is right.
