We are thinking of booking a few days at Fairfield Harbour, New Bern. I'm looking for some recent info on this resort. The reviews on this board are just so outdated. Also I did spot a post that said you had to book a full week. It appears that I am able to book just a few days, but didn't finish the confirmation. Some reviews on Trip Advisor are mixed, and I get the impression that because it is not Wyndham managed, it may be a bit outdated.
Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I wish I could help...I own a bunch of Wyndham points deeded at Fairfield Harbour, but have never stayed there.

There was a time a year or so ago, I think around the time that Wyndham was giving up management of this place that you could only reserve full weeks, and there was a time when you couldnt reserve here at all with Wyndham points. It does sound like that has changed,

Currently, the reservations site said VIP benefits not available at this resort. That does suggest it is not Wyndham Managed.

It is a older resort that is part of the Legacy Collection for Wyndham. Found the following links on the internet.

Wyndham Fairfield harbour

Stayed there for a couple of days--very outdated but clean--probably would not go back but that is probably why it is available.

Thanks for the replies. Jerry, When did you stay there? I am kind of tossing between Harbour and Smoky Mts and just like to go someplace that I haven't been to. That would be Harbour. But, not looking for a bad experience either. Had that at a couple of lousy RCI exchanges in the past.
Like I said the reviews from Trip Advisor are mixed.

In the last 2 years--was following daughters VB team and it was the closest location---it was a quiet place--just depends on what you are looking for--not a bad experience at all
