When you buy a resale timehare, do you also get the either RCI or II that the previous owner had or do you have to sign onto one yourself?

You would need to establish your own RCI or II account.

I don't believe you would get that with a resale, but I could be wrong.

All owners ( both developer and resale) of HGVC (Hilton Grand Vacations) get access to the corporate RCI account.

RCI

HI there, we recently bought a resale timeshare thru tug. It did not come with a RCI or II membership. I wondered if we were to join RCI, what is the cost of joining? I realize you pay a renewal fee per year, but want to know what the cost is just for membership?
My friend has a timeshare with weeks as an exchange but is now being harassed to buy into the point point system at a cost of 5,000$. She is with RCI. Any advice for myself or her would help!

I am not sure if you can use RCI to exchange a Tahiti Village property without converting to RCI points. If your week isn't already converted the only way to do so would be through the developer and that would be in the several thousand dollar range. You would need to contact RCI to confirm if you are eligible if you are not enrolled in points. If you can't join RCI than your option would be II or one of the independent exchange companies.
