Well that ad is a bit misleading. It has a buy now of $299. But the fine print reads

"We are just asking the purchaser to cover the $299.00 deed transfer fee and any other related sales costs. As a result the purchaser can simply assume the monthly mortgage payments of $356.61 per month + $80.02 per month in maintenance fees. "

So this is really a LOT of money. Basically a developer purchase passthru viaebay. What gullible soul will do that?

I know only one mega renter who assumes contracts,


there are people who will pay around $1.00/ point for assumable Worldmark contracts

Such a deal!

If someone takes over this loan, the person who signed the note with Wyndham is ultimately responsible for the payment. In reality someone could pay $299, use the points and then walk away leaving the original owner holding the bag. Membership and the loan are two different things...
