I have been looking for a Glacier Canyon Contract. We are two hours away and there is nothing better than a quick and easy getaway for our family.

Because it is so popular, we have had restricted choices for dates because we own in Nashvile. So often times we take what we can get. However, I began looking for a separate contract because I want that priority window. My husband is a teacher and we are held within the rules of his contract. High times are important for us to get priority.

I found one that is EOY even beginning 2016 (168k) But as I understand it, those points would need to be used and traveled with by December 31st 2016, correct? And we would then have to wait for the 2018 batch which cannot be used before January 1st, 2018 - meaning that our ARP is basically useless until we need it for a summer or Christmas trip in two years. (We were hoping to go over the summer or holiday season in 2017.) am I understanding this correctly? It sounds to me like I should have found an odd contact instead.

For reference my contract now is 189k annual with a march use year. Any clarification on the EOY contract would be helpful and any suggestions are welcome.

If you click the triangle in your post, you could have a moderator move this to the Wyndham forum where I'm sure you'll get a quick response.

Yes, you are correct. You can use the points in odd years by credit pooling, but you lose ARP. It will not transfer in time to have any ARP value for 2016.

You will not be able to credit pool your 2016 points. You can credit pull your 2018 points but you will lose ARP for credit pooled points.

Thanks for clarifying that. I meant "in general,"; it does not apply for the 2016 points.
