To each their own --- my $0.02 worth...
I have booked one week at Samoset and I could get another unit for a second week. I would like to get another location along the coast of Maine but none are available (this is for May-June 2016). I also have a week for Brewster, MA and I can get another unit on the cape but not at this same resort. I have never been to Massachussetts but we went to Maine last year. We loved Maine.
Is there enough to see in the Cape area to warrant 2 weeks. We would like to spend at least one day or more in Boston.
What are your opinions on which place to put my 3rd week?
For starters, I will note that
most Cape Cod timeshare facilities are very little more than converted motels. Brewster Green is a noteworthy exception, but you have already indicated that an additional week there is
not an available option (no surprise). Accordingly, I would frankly look to
depart Cape Cod for your as-yet uncommitted additional week.
We own at Samoset Resort in Maine (it's in Rockport, not Rockland, but the two abut), but I can't recommend a second consecutive week in ME late spring. I'm surprised you can't find a week in Ogunquit (there are several timeshares there) or in Ellsworth (but Acadia Village Resort may be II-affiliated only) in that (very early for Maine summer) time frame, but maybe it's simply because you are looking so far ahead for 2016 at this early date. I'm betting that "deposits" that far out are quite limited right now. Moreover, I'm inclined to believe that many people in those high demand / limited supply locations often choose to rent out their weeks rather than "deposit for exchange" at all, if not actually using their weeks themselves. I for one would certainly do so.
In
your situation with
your geographic benchmark, for some diversity I'd probably look for a week in Rhode Island for your third week in New England, rather than just adding on another week to
either of the two specific areas in which you have already confirmed a week.
Just my own personal viewpoint and opinion --- YMMV.
