Resort: Napa Riverpointe http://www.riverpointeresort.com/

Timeshare is fully paid. Maintenance Fees are current. We haven’t been traveling as much as we thought due to our schedules and having three dogs. We don’t want to continue paying maintenance fees for a timeshare we’re not putting to good use.

Week: Floating (Reservations can be made during any season depending on availability. No blackout dates)

Maintenance Fee: $129.14 billed quarterly ($494.56/year). Next payment of $129.14 will due in August 2015.

Ownership Type: Right to use through 2035

Use: 13,500 points issued on a biennial basis for the term of membership. Points can be converted for nightly use with min 2 night stay or weekly use. 2Bd = 1500/nt Sun-Thur or 3000/nt Fri-Sat; 1Bd = 1000/nt Sun-Thur or 2000/nt Fri-Sat) Weekly use for a 2 bedroom = 13,500 pts, 1 Bedroom = 9000 pts and Studio = 4500 pts. We’ve always just converted our points over to obtain one week in a 1 Bedroom and one week in a studio and then deposited them with Interval International for exchanges.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms: 2/2

Kitchen: Yes

Resort Transfer Fee: $150. My contract states there is a transfer fee of $150 that will be due payable to California Vacation Club. I called Napa Riverpointe and was told that Advanced Financial https://www.advancedfinco.com/default.aspx (Mark Hubbard / 800-234-6222 ext 189) completes their title transfers.

Cost: We are giving this away so I am asking that the buyer pay any transfer fees.

When you say, Season Varies, what exactly does that mean, please.

I have a friend who might be interested in a unit if it's not mid summer or mid winter.

Thanks

Hi BevL,
We don't have a designated week assigned to use so reservations can me made during any season depending on availability. I'll update the post so that's more clear.

How long in advance can you reserve? I assume calling on sooner rather than later will enable you to get the week you want. So is a year in advance or do they have certain call-in days?

Thanks

BevL,
There are no certain call-in days. You can call anytime but I was told they don't have their booking schedule more than a year out. We've always used it for exchanges so we've never been concerned about getting a specific week.

How well does this trade in II?

famy27,
This is our only timeshare purchase so I don't have any comparisons. I was told that it has high trading power but I think that's a standard sales pitch they use during any timeshare presentation. :D. We have never had any problem getting into the resort of our choosing and during the time we wanted. I don't know if that's due to the trading power or just because of when/where we travel. Below is a list of our exchanges to give you some reference.

When you notify RiverPointe that you are going to deposit with Interval, does Riverpointe select the week that gets deposited, or do you select the week ?

dsexton,
I've always just taken whatever week they offered but you can select a week.

EDIT: (I can't edit my original post). I spoke with Marc today at Advanced Financial Company and was informed that the transfer fee is $195 not $150 as stated in my original post.

Marc said the transfer was pretty simple and he sent me the transfer agreements that just need to be signed and notarized by both parties. Once the paperwork and $195 payment is received by Advanced Financial, the transfer is usually completed within 48 hours.

Here a link to my membership handbook that was given to me when I purchased the timeshare. It contains basic info about additional benefits that I also come with the membership (bonus weeks and day use). https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_xI1H7FdxxEeGxzV3F5d2Fsd1U/view?usp=sharing

GPX

Have you traded this via GPX at all? I'm new to all of this and curious to know the difference between GPX and "California Vacation Club"...

Travelgame,
I've only traded through II (Interval International).

Riverpointe is part of California Vacation Club (CVC) which consists of three other resorts in California. There are no exchange fee for members to exchange to another CVC resort:
-Indian Palms Vacation Club
-Gaslamp Plaza Suites
-The Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing

Riverpointe is managed through Grand Pacific Resorts and members have access to exchange through GPX. There is no membership fee or annual dues but there are exchange fees. GPX offers domestic and international exchanges whereas you only have three other resorts to choose from in the CVC pool.

Maybe I missed this in your OP (at the airport on my phone), but is this odd year or even year usage?
