So I'm going to ask if this would be a good deal or not, I would post it in the Classifieds, not here if you all think it's be a good deal for someone. I would like to get $500 and I think that would be too high for that unit on this forum.

I have a 3 Br lock-off at Summer Bay Resort that I'm thinking about selling.

It locks off to a 2 Br and a full 1 Br and my float period is 1-51.

If you're familiar with the resort and area what do you think?

I can't post anything about the resort or area because this is not a for sale post, just trying to get an idea on the pricing and will go from there.

I don't understand your objective - why not simply post an Ad here in the Bargain Deals forum and have done with it?

To be quite honest with you, we don't want Ads that should go in the Marketplace, tested here. That will lead to more expensive Ads being posted here, that are not "bargain deals."

If you really want to know if your price is competitive, see what it's going for on ebay.

first I'm not sure I want to sell this.

Second I'm trying to get a clarification on the forum rules.

The partial quote in the title line came right form Brian's rule post and says you can ask if something you want to buy is worth the asking price.

Do those rules also allow us to ask if the price we are looking for is a good deal for us or the buyer or both.

If the rules don't allow me to ask if what I'm selling is priced right then of course I have no problem with this thread being deleted but if we are allowed to ask I'd like to hear some ideas on the value.

John - the problem is that it will open the door for people to post Ads here that don't belong here.

If it's not a Bargain Deal - it shouldn't be posted here.

Your offer of $500 sounds like a Bargain Deal, but if we allow people to test run higher price Ads that they plan to post in the Marketplace, we will get Ads that don't belong here.

Just to clarify - a timeshare doesn't have to be free to post it here. If a resort is selling for $5,000 on the open market, and you offer it for $1,000, then that could be considered a bargain.

But if a resort is selling for $5,000 on the open market, and you post the Ad here for $5,000 to get opinions on the value, then that's not the purpose of this forum. When that happens - we normally delete the Ad.

Ok, thanks. After thinking about it and reading your reasons I think that it should be one way here, asking if something, anything, we see for sale, is a good deal or not.

I sure don't want to open any flood gates here and this could be construed as an ad so maybe you could lock it just to show others that it is not permitted to ask these questions here or just delete it and I'll get some ideas else where.
