Hi I am new to timesharing and just bought my first timeshare at Saint Tropez condominiums, Ocean City, MD Week 25 Three bedroom Two bathroom. My maintenance fees are $830 and I know this is high but I wanted to be Oceanfront because I have three young boys. I am now considering picking up another week at the Beach (week 31 at The Waves) this would be a two bedroom and the MF are $860 for this property. Any suggestions on this property and if this a good plan or should I stay away from the Waves. I have never been to either The Waves or Saint Tropez so any feedback on either would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Nicolee,
I own at Ocean Time next to The Waves. We have use of the pool at the Waves. The MF at the waves are a little high. I had heard that there was some structual problems that require frequent maintenance. You have a view of Coastal highway in one direction and a parking lot in the other direction. The beach is close but there aren't any restaurants or other activities within walking distance.

Thanks tschwa2,
Have you ever been inside The Waves units.... have they been kept up to date or are they quite shabby/dated? Ocean Time is also beach front right? How are your MF's and have you had any problem with management/special assessments. I believe just last year Saint Tropez MF's were $615 but have jumped to $830 to make up for the needed maintenance/upkeep. If anyone has any information on Saint Tropez I would greatly appreciate it . Thanks

Neither are ocean front. They are both considered Ocean side. There are two 2 story houses ocean front on 136 street. Directly behind is Sea Time which has I two towers about 10 stories high. Ocean Time is perpendicular to the ocean and then the Waves is horizontal to the ocean on the block that faces out toward coastal highway. The balconies on the Waves face the highway. I have never seen the inside.

Anyone own in Ocean City, MD during the RED Summer Weeks at the Ocean Front properties, Sea Time, Ocean Time, Saint Tropez, etc? Looking for any suggestions on which one is the best to purchase (purchase price, MF's, management, overall upkeep)? Also does anyone use their weeks to trade and if so is this OC in high demand equaling greater trading power. Thanks!
