Hi al. I am brand new to this site so please bear with me! I am recently divorced and my ex and I have 2 weeks of timeshares in vistana in orlando [specifics deleted] We are now both interested in selling them. Does any one have any recommendations for how to go about doing this in the most cost effective manner? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Since Denise is correct about the value you would be better off each keeping a week to use or trade. This forum is a good place to figure out how to make good use of what you already own.

Barring wanting to use it you may want to simply offer to give them away for the cost of closing & current use fees (if it's available to the buyer) to avoid future fees. It may take awhile to find a taker even at no cost so the sooner you start the offer the better. Thinking you'll get much if anything out in this marketplace is ludicrous - but if you advertise for $1000-$2000 you'll get no offers and still owe the annual fees. Better to give it away, avoid the bad temptation to use a pricy "service" at $3000-$7000 to "get rid of it" and have it out of your life relatively soon. You can offer it right here on TUG and some other web sites for little or nothing.

Good luck.
