Re: Anyone familiar with VNAC...?

Yes, they purchase rental weeks from me....what questions do you have?

Cindy

After researching further, I work with Vacation Network in Augusta, GA.....not the same company as one in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and they are not affiliated.

Re: Anyone familiar with VNAC...?

SCAM ALERT - If it is Vacation Network Advertising Corp of Ft. Lauderdale FL
800-829-9209 Peter Dunn or Lori Peck

We bought at Krystal Cancun a while back and this company's card was in the information packet.
Per Krystal sales, VNAC would help you find renters for your timeshare, for a one time fee of $500, to set you up in their reservations system.
But VNAC takes your money and you never hear from them again.

I too just bought a timeshare in Cabo and was promised easy renting of my weeks to defray the costs. Globequest was seller and VNAC was the rental agency. I just found out that Globequest owns VNAC??? Is this a scam? Isn't it possible that VNAC CAN rent my Cabo weeks out for me, albeit for less than the $4,000 promised for a two-bedroom lock-off on Medano Beach? Please help?

It is a total scam!

You should IMMEDIATELY:

Send them an email canceling the rental contract (don't call - it's pointless.)
Send them a certified letter - return receipt requested - canceling the contract.
Dispute the charges with your credit card company.

Again - don't call - they are scammers - they aren't your friend and they AREN'T going to help you get out of this deal. The only reason you are canceling the contract is so you can get your money back from the credit card company - the scammers aren't going to give you anything back.

You should also rescind on the timeshare - you can buy a timeshare in Mexico on ebay for $1.
More info. about rescinding.

Were you promised that from the timeshare salesperson? If so, that's not surprising since they will tell you anything, including lies, to get you to purchase over-valued, worthless timeshares.

Rentals are not easy to fetch in Mexico because of the glut of rentals on the market there. Also, since many in Mexico are all-inclusives with exorbitant all-inclusive fees to use them (whether you're the owner, are renting it, or acquired it via exchange), people are staying away from them.

Your best bet, if you're not going to use the week that year, is to try to exchange it.

He should try to rescind FIRST - Mexican timeshares do NOT have good trading value - more supply than demand.
