Great buy!

I spent about double for my 1MM points contract! Yes, I sniped that one.

There were three that went off tonight. All Sumday and all within a few seconds of each other I set fairly low snipes on all three, and was surprised to win anything. Much less 2 for the prices I got them for

I think bidders stayed away from the million points because the 2016 points are gone.

So heres what the ebay ad said:

2016 USAGE TO THE NEW OWNER

1,001,000 Wyndham Points

Allocated October 1, 2016

Annual Use Beginning 2016

I read this to say the next points are the points allocated in Oct 2016 and that there are no points until then. Based on what I know about the Wyndham system these would be the 2017 points>

I bid with that in mind (no 2016 points in the contract), and I assume others read it the same way (otherwise why didnt anyone bid more than $500 for a million point contract. This contract with 2016 points would be worth $3000 to $5000 to me and just a few months ago would have sold for $10000. In any case my snipe was for $2500 and I got it for $510 plus $300 to close> pretty good deal

I just got off the phone with Sumday and he read the estopple to me
900000 2016k points available now

So better than I had hoped.

Great buy! I think my 500K is more than enough for us (have even ended up depositing some to RCI hoping for DVC) and would love to make some money renting --

But, reading here and seeing all of you with million++ points AND VIP status -- I don't think anyone can compete rentals without a VIP status. So, I just have it in my head that if I need some Wyndham reservations, I will ping you Ron :)

It was just 5 years ago that I bought my first Wyndham points and pissed off my wife. She couldnt understand why I would take on another monthly obligation, especially with out telling her.

She then gave me my orders..... "you better figure out a way to rent this S*#%.." So I did.

So I owe it all to my wife

The number one way to keep your investment portfolio growing - do not get divorced.

LOL. If it helps, I helped talk a recent DVC buyer into rescinding and buying resale on another site...

And I didn't snipe it, I set my price hours before.
