Has anyone stayed at this resort recently? I am planning on going with my in-laws in Sept., but RCI currently only has 1 bedrooms available for the time I want to go at the resort. I was wondering if the one bedrooms were really ok for 4 people, and if the pull out couches are absolutely terrible? Does anyone know what the layout is for the 1 Bedrooms at this resort?

Not too long ago there were quite a few 2-3 bedroom's available in the Outer Banks for September in RCI's "Extra Vacations", now there's none, this is what they find available with my banked week. Guess that will teach me to hesitate too long!

Thanks in advance!!

In my opinion a 1 bedroom is to small for the number traveling.

I would put in a request for a 2 bedroom. Many deposits will still come in. Also, with taking older folks, you need to know that there are many steps to some units. So be sure to check on that before you confirm if it is an issue.

Thank you for the replies! I called today and cancelled the Kitty Hawk one bedroom. They checked 2 bedrooms again, and were able to find a rental for a very reasonable price at the Barrier Island Ocean Pines in Duck, so I have booked that. Anyone been to the resort recently? Any recommendations on must see or do?

Thanks so much for all of your help!

Hi,
We stayed there last year through an independent renter. It was a one bedroom with a sleeper sofa. It was very clean, small, but effecient since we only are in the room a limited amount of time. If this is an effeciency, it will have a small fridge and microwave, no oven. It really only sleeps 4. The sofa was fine for our teenagers. The pool area is great and a small walk to the beach.
