How long should it take?

Hi,

We purchased a Wyndham resale from ebay in February. The only paperwork we've completed is the vesting worksheet. How long should it take for a resale to go through. I see Wyndham takes a bit longer than the rest but I feel like we should be further along in the process. The seller has good feedback and is BBB accredited. Is there a way to contact Wyndham directly to see where we are in the process?

Thanks for your help!

This is the process:

-Sign and return contracts
-Pay
-Closing company prepares and sends new deed to County Recorder's Office
-Closing company sends recorded deed to you, and to Wyndham
-Wyndham sits on it for weeks

Where are you in the process above?

My last Wyndham purchase took 6 mos.

We're done with the sign and return contract, pay, and within a week of that we updated the vesting worksheet to put both of our names on the sale. All of that was completed by 3/11/16. It's just frustrating not hearing anything for so long. Although, I think the resale company is on the up and up, they aren't great about returning emails.

You will know when the deed is recorded, because they should send you a copy of the recorded deed, but Wyndham may sit on it for 4-8 weeks, before they make the change.

You should contact the closing agent to receive the current status.

I own a National Harbor contract deeded in Maryland. Maryland requires the deed info to be hand carried to the register. This required the ebay closing agent to work with a Maryland agent. For 1,2,3,4 months I called for an update. finally I logged on to the county website and saw that the deed had been recorded for almost a month. I notified my closing agent and the process then advanced.

I purchased a Wyndham resale in Feb of this year. The recorded deed did not make it o Wyndham till 4/18. However, Wyndham turned it around and had it in my account on 4/28. They seem to be moving quickly at the moment.

Ok..so the first timeshare we purchased is still in the process. However, I purchases another on 4/22 and received my deed today! :whoopie:
Anyway, how will I get my member number and contract number? Will Wyndham send them or should I call?

Thanks

We also purchased our first timeshare in Feb. Still waiting on the deed for that one. However, our second purchase (a few days later) is completely finished as of May 1.

It took Wyndham about 5 weeks to make the change in their system after they received the new deed. I started calling every other week once I knew they had the deed...then one day we were clear. They gave me my member # and contract # over the phone which is what you'll need to sign up on the Club Wyndham site.

Very happy with second purchase! Still waiting on first and third!

Just a heads up, all of the contracts we have purchased have now been recorded and we are waiting on Wyndham to update our accounts.

We had a contract we bought (our first) back in Feb and then our 3rd one in March...we got the deeds for both of those this week. We also bought two EOY contracts the beginning of May that we did not use a closing company with ...we already have both of those deeds...so, in June there should be a lot of updating to our account!!
