One bedroom plus at Beach Street Cottages

Has anyone ever stayed in the one and only one bedroom plus unit at the Beach Street Cottages in Destin? Just curious if the extra space, full kitchen, and being in the front of the resort was worth the extra points.

I am curious about this also. Looks like it is on the 2nd floor and the stairs on in the center, does that mean there is not a downstairs unit under it? Trying to figure if it would work for our family when we usually reserve the top and bottom (2 ea 1br) to give us more room.

There is a unit underneath it, but the unit underneath is a studio along with the check-in desk that is only open certain hours.

We just got back from staying in the one bedroom plus. First, let me say the floor plan is wrong, and it's a good kind of wrong. There are two full bathrooms in this unit and a king size bed in the master, the floor plan doesn't state that. There is no desk in the bunk area but there is a storage unit along with a tv. It does have a full kitchen with three bar stools and a full size oven. You are able to see bits and pieces of the ocean from this room. The closet in the master is huge, big enough for an air mattress. The carpet does need to be changed and some of the blinds replaced. The bathrooms have been updated since we last stayed here. Overall, a very nice unit.

3 adults?

The third adult will have to sleep in a bunk bed or on the pull out couch.

So are the 1Bedrooms upstairs?

So just to confirm - Are the 1bedroom (not the plus room) all upstairs? Are they cottages all upstairs? It looks like no washer/dryer in the room - is there a common washer/dryer facility on premises?

Few other questions:
Where are the best places to visit near this resort? Places to eat? Fun things for the kids?

Looking forward to a visit at the end of July. Unfortunately, I had to book through extra holidays since I couldn't find my dates to book with Wyndham points.

There is only one studio and one one bedroom plus unit, the rest are regular one bedrooms that are on the bottom and top. Call ahead to request a unit on the top. They do have a laundry facility on site for guest to use.

We love the restaurant Kenny D's beside the resort. Silver Sands Factory Outlets are right up the road along with Destin Commons. Our kids love the beach and pool, so they are content with staying on property. Have fun!
