Just got this email from Wyndham/Shell Vacation Club.

At Wyndham, we're always looking for ways to provide the best possible vacation experiences to our owners and guests. And what better way to ensure we're delivering on our promise than by listening to the feedback of our valued owners!

We invite you to apply to become a Wyndham Quality Advocate and represent your fellow owners by helping us deliver the very best sales experience. Wyndham Quality Advocates partner with us by attending Owner Updates and sharing their feedback. This information is instrumental in improving our sales practices and ensuring Count on Me!℠ service is present during every interaction. If you qualify, you'll be eligible to receive cash incentives and partial reimbursement of travel expenses!

Another way to get us to go to sales meeting?

Sounds like it. Maybe you should send a note back saying, "so, as a Quality Advocate, I assume at some point I'll simply show my Quality Advocate ID to alert the staff they no longer need to attempt to 'sell' me?"

It might be interesting to get more details on this and see how much they're paying.

I'd look at it as way to get paid to go on a mini-vacation, and then have carte blanche to give them an earful if they get too pushy! Kinda like the secret shopper thing... This could be a very good way to finally get Wyndham to turn the ship w.r.t. their pushy tactics.

My bet is "it is a sales hook to get you into listen to a sales presentation - but you will be asked to fill out an evaluation as you leave. Your feedback. :hysterical:".

I wonder if this is a one time thing, and as Linda suggests, just a way to get you in a sales room, or is is more permanent ...like a job. where you can do and get compensated for several per year

If its several a year...it looks like a secret shopper program and I want that job

My take on the “Quality Advocate” was that Wyndham is recruiting owners to attend the group presentations (owner updates) and share their feedback about Wyndham Resorts in front of the assembled group. Since it stated that you need to apply and qualify to become an Advocate, I’m sure they would only want owners who are 100% satisfied with their retail purchases. That eliminates most TUG members.

If it's only retail purchases, that eliminates most owners as well.

I suspect that anyone who frequents TUG and gets the Quality Advocate job would be fired after the first owner update they attended! :)

I got the email last night and signed up. It sounded like something I would be interested. The sign-up asked name, address and phone, then said someone would contact me to see if I qualify. May be a sale call, may be legitimate. I guess I will find.

Sorry, still not going to any owner's updates, sales meetings, education sessions or whatever they want to call them.

I'm hoping that it is like a "secret shopper". I signed up. Been to enough sales presentations that I could probably do one. Wyndham could benefit from my knowledge...(and most TUGGERS).

I'll let you know if they contact me.

Hoping a TUGGER gets "selected" and that this is not just a ploy to get us to the group presentation.

Another name for an owner to attend a sale presentation.
